Impact Dance Global presents its first international guest production, the award-winning Esther’s Revenge by the Nigerian theatre company PawStudios Africa.

Esther’s Revenge is a thought-provoking, interactive theatrical experience in which Esther has been charged with the murder of her white lover. The audience is invited to become the jurors who will determine her sentence. Esther’s Revenge is based on a true story which occurred in 1950s Nigeria and delves into themes of colonisation and societal injustices.

This is a rare opportunity to attend a presentation from one of Nigeria’s most acclaimed contemporary theatre directors, Kenneth Uphopho, who founded the Lagos and Abuja Fringes after successfully establishing the internationally renowned Lagos Theatre Festival in 2013. Esther is performed by AMVCA winner Temitope Omobolanle Atitebi.

There will be two performances on the 18th of July at 2pm and 7.30pm, recommended ages 18+. All proceeds will go to PawStudios Africa with tickets priced £11 via Eventbrite. Due to the immersive nature of the work each performance has limited capacity so make sure you don’t book at the last minute to avoid disappointment
